I think the only errors Webstorm came up were small things easily solved in vite and eslint configs. Getting a new project rolling with "npm init for Vite, Vue 3, Typescript, etc then adding in Tailwind and a few other libraries all went pretty smooth. I haven't seen any issues with using so far, but I haven't gotten deep into the frontend of this new project yet. I've had VS Code installed for years, I just never really use it because it's quicker and easier for me to start and work with projects in Webstorm. ![]() ![]() So, ya know, was hoping for insights such as "VS Code takes some time investment to set up, but is totally worth it because it adds X benefits when working with Vue 3" Or "The advantages are minimal, stick with what you like or are familiar with". To figure out if VS Code is going to work better than Webstorm for Vue 3 I'd have to first figure out the best setup for VS Code and figure out if there are any other plugins I need for VS Code to work well with Vite, Typescript, ESLint, Prettier, Git, Vitest, Cypress, Tailwind, etc etc.įrom what I understand, VS Code is pretty basic out of the box, but people really like it once they get all the plugins set up how they want, vs Webstorm that does a bunch of stuff out of the box. ![]() Thought I'd ask the community who may already have experience if there were any insights they could share.
